In the program, leading doctors from Thong Nhat Hospital clarified issues that cancer patients and their families are always concerned about. These included: What is cancer? Why is it becoming more common? Is cancer always a “death sentence”? What are the current cancer treatment methods? When is a combination of multiple treatment methods needed? Common side effects and how to monitor them? The rights and roles of patients in treatment decisions? How to overcome fear, anxiety, and depression? The role of family members in providing emotional support? When should patients seek psychological help?

The event provided valuable knowledge and spread a humane message: cancer is not the end but can be a comma to continue the journey of life.

Otsuka Vietnam has partnered with the hospital and sponsored this Patient Club program with the desire to contribute to improving the effectiveness of chronic disease management, long-term patient monitoring to enhance treatment quality; and at the same time, spread knowledge about cancer prevention, building a close-knit community of cancer patients who support each other. This is not only material support but also demonstrates Otsuka’s social responsibility and spirit of sharing towards the medical field, science, and the community.
