On January 27, 2021, the Ministry of Health issued Decision No. 631 / QD-BYT on the Certificate of eligibility for pharmaceutical business to Otsuka Pharmaceutical Vietnam JSC. The business office is eligible for pharmaceutical business including export & import medicines not containing β-Lactam antibiotics and being stored under normal conditions that is located at the company’s branch – Lot 512, Street No. 13, Long Binh Industrial Park (Amata), Long Binh Ward, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province.
According to information from the Ministry of Health, Otsuka Vietnam is the first Japanese pharmaceutical enterprise that received the certificate of pharmaceutical business including export & import medicines.
In March 2020, the Otsuka’s factory in AMATA industrial park also received a certificate of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) according to standards of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (PIC/S) issued by the Ministry of Health of Vietnam. And then 9 months later (By December 2020), the factory also received the certificate of Good Storage Practice (GSP).
With these certificates, Otsuka Vietnam will directly import and export medicines for treatment needs of Vietnamese patients, as well as to become the best clinical partner in Vietnam in future.
About the new Otsuka’s factory at AMATA Industrial Zone- Bien Hoa:
The Otsuka’s factory in AMATA Industrial zone was built on a campus with an area of 40,000 square meters. The Factory is equipped with modern machines according to Japanese standards and operated automatically from input to output. The factory’s products include basic infusions and amino acid infusions that are packed in infusion bag with the latest technology. The factory’s capacity is 21 million infusion bags/year and it can reach a maximum of 38 million bags/year in the extension stage. Currently, the factory has produced the first batch of all products for quality inspection of registration process.
