On December 18th, 2021, the Vietnamese Society for Parenteral Enteral Nutrion (VietSPEN) held the first national scientific conference – VietSPEN 2021 with the theme “Enhance nutrition practice in surgery and resuscitation” in Da Nang city.
The conference was organized by the permission of the Ministry of Health, the People’s Committee, the Service of Health, the Department of Foreign Affairs of Da Nang city and complied with the regulations on prevention of COVID-19 epidemic. The co-organizer was Da Nang General Hospital.
Ms. Tran Thanh Thuy, MD., Specialist level 2 – Deputy Director of Da Nang General Hospital, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quang Tri MSc. – Deputy Head of Medical Department of Da Nang Service of Health, the Executive Committee of VietSPEN and 150 members attended offline and more than 500 members attended online.

The conference had 10 scientific presentations from local and international experts to update knowledge and exchange experiences with doctors and clinical nutritionists.
