On October 24-25, in Ninh Binh, the Vietnam Dialysis Association (VDA) held its 2nd Congress for the 2025-2030 term and its 5th Scientific Conference with the theme: “Endocrine Disorders in Dialysis Patients”.
The 5th Scientific Conference of the Vietnam Dialysis Association was attended by over 1,000 delegates, including many leading experts from Vietnam and abroad, and featured more than 100 scientific reports presented in plenary and thematic sessions. This is the largest scientific forum for the hemodialysis specialty in Vietnam, a valuable opportunity for doctors and nurses in the hemodialysis field to learn, exchange, and disseminate knowledge and experience, contributing to the increasingly strong development of the hemodialysis specialty in Vietnam.

In his welcoming speech at the 5th Scientific Conference, Nguyen Huu Dung, MD. PhD. – former Chairman of the VDA during its first term (2020 – 2025) – stated that during its first term, the VDA has grown significantly, affirming its role as a bridge for science and expertise between treatment facilities nationwide. The VDA has made important contributions to standardizing hemodialysis procedures, improving the quality of treatment and care for patients with chronic kidney disease, and promoting research and training of high-quality human resources for the specialty.
On this occasion, the VDA held its 2nd Congress (2025-2030). The Congress elected Le Viet Thang, MD. PhD. Assoc. Prof. as the President of the VDA for the second term; 4 Vice Presidents; and an Executive Board of 65 members; 1 General Secretary; and a Supervisory Board of 3 members.

In his acceptance speech, Le Viet Thang, MD. PhD., Assoc. Prof., Chairman of the VDA for the second term (2025-2030), respectfully thanked the Congress for its trust in electing him as Chairman. He pledged to work together with the Executive Committee of the second term, continue to build upon the achievements of the previous term, and help the VDA grow stronger; develop science and technology, and bring the hemodialysis field to better serve patients.
On this occasion, Otsuka Vietnam organized a satellite workshop on the topic “Dosage Adjustment in Patients with Renal Failure – Amino Acid Pharmacokinetics & Updates on Intravenous Nutrition in Dialysis – IDPN“. The satellite workshop attracted a large number of doctors who participated in discussions on many in-depth issues regarding drug use in patients with renal failure and appropriate nutrition for dialysis patients.
