During the 2 days of October 3-4, 2025, in the coastal city of Ha Long, the First National Interventional Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society Conference was successfully held, opening a promising new beginning for the interventional digestive endoscopy specialty in Vietnam. The conference attracted the attention and participation of more than 1,000 medical experts in the field of endoscopy and digestion across the country with 71 scientific reports of high professional value from domestic and international experts.

Vietnam Interventional Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society (VIGES) was established on January 4, 2025, with the mission of connecting, training and developing the field of interventional gastrointestinal endoscopy in Vietnam. The Society brings together leading experts, doctors and researchers, aiming to improve the quality of treatment, update new technologies and promote professional cooperation. VIGES also organizes seminars, training programs and communication activities to spread knowledge, contributing to the development of the domestic and international medical community. At this conference, the Organizing Committee also launched two special books published by the Viges Association: “Interventional Endoscopy of Digestive Tract Pathology” and “Brain-Gut Connection”. These two publications were well received and positively evaluated by the delegates attending, and once again affirmed the dedication of the Association’s Board of Directors, wishing that the Vietnamese interventional endoscopy profession will make more and more progress to affirm itself in the region and the world.
